David Shaw
Director, Expert in office refurbishments
David is a highly respected and experienced Director, and leads Torridon’s commercial projects team, with a particular focus on complex refurbishment and retrofit schemes. He’s passionate about making retrofit the first choice for clients, not just because it’s greener, but because the numbers stack up and the outcomes are better.
He’s worked across the UK on major fit-out and reuse projects, including the award-winning refurbishment for Chivas Brothers at Kilmalid.
David was previously part of the UK Green Building Council’s Task Group on Commercial Retrofit, helping shape national guidance on how we decarbonise existing buildings in a practical, cost-aware way.
He’s known for his clear-headed approach to problem solving, and for making sure clients have the information they need to make confident decisions at every stage.

Kenny Telfer
Director, Expert in residential refurbishments
Meet Kenny, an experienced Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Director of Torridon Cost Consultancy. With a deep passion for residential property refurbishment, Kenny recognises the crucial role it plays in achieving our climate targets. He thrives on collaborative work, fostering strong relationships with clients and contractors alike, as he believes that effective communication is the key to successful project outcomes.
As a member of the RICS Scotland Board and having dedicated a significant portion of his career to RICS, Kenny remains actively involved in shaping the industry. He is driven by a relentless pursuit of innovative approaches, seeking to blend modern technologies and systems with traditional quantity surveying. This commitment ultimately translates into delivering exceptional project financial clarity, offering clients the certainty they need to move forward confidently.
